(SALISBURY, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred late Tuesday evening in Wicomico County
The suspects, Christopher Wolcott, 29, of Mardela Springs, Maryland and Desiree Duncan, 42, of Salisbury, Maryland, are charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, attempted armed robbery and theft of less than $100. Both suspects were taken for processing at central booking.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the 900 block of West Road in Salisbury, Maryland on a report of a stabbing. The victim, a 56-year-old male, was located by troopers and transported by ambulance to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Due to the nature of the incident, Criminal Enforcement Lower Shore was contacted to take over the investigation. Wolcott and Duncan were located in the area of Substation Road, where the stabbing is believed to have taken place. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Salisbury Barrack for questioning before being charged.
The case remains under investigation.
