(DARLINGTON, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in which one person died early Monday morning in Harford County.
Shortly after 2:40 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack responded to the 4000 block of Conowingo Road in Darlington, Maryland for a report of a single-vehicle crash. According to a preliminary investigation, a silver Ford F150 truck was traveling north on Conowingo Road when it ran off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle traveled down an embankment, rotated, struck a tree, overturned and caught fire.
EMS and fire personnel on the scene extinguished the fire and removed the driver, a male and lone occupant, from the vehicle. He was declared deceased at the scene. The driver, who has yet to be positively identified, was transported to the Office of the State Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
