State Police Maryland State Police Investigating Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash In Frederick County

(MYERSVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday morning in Frederick County.

The victim, identified as Emily Arnoult, 50, of Frederick, Maryland, was transported by ambulance to Frederick Health, where she was pronounced deceased. There were no other injuries reported at the scene.

Shortly after 10 a.m. this morning, troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack responded to the area of eastbound I-70 in the area of Hollow Road for the report of a crash. According to a preliminary investigation, an SUV, driven by Arnoult, was traveling east on I-70 when for unknown reasons crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer.

A few lanes were closed briefly on eastbound I-70 for the investigation. Personnel from the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration assisted with road closures.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
