State Police Maryland State Police Investigating Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash In Harford County

(PYLESVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred this morning in Harford County.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack responded to Maryland Route 165 at St. Mary’s Road in Pylesville, Maryland for a report of a multi-vehicle crash. According to a preliminary investigation, a 2014 Chevy Equinox, for unknown reasons, crossed over from the southbound lane into the northbound lane of traffic and crashed head-on into Toyota Tacoma.

The driver of the Chevy, a 36-year-old male, and the driver of the Toyota, a 43-year-old male, were declared deceased at the scene by Harford County emergency medical services personnel. There were no other passengers in either vehicle. The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the investigation into the case. Route 165 was closed in both directions for about five hours following the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
