(PIKESVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel William Pallozzi will announce the statewide Trooper of the Year, the Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, the Police Communications Supervisor of the Year and Police Communications Operator of the Year for 2018.
Department awards ranging from Superintendent’s Salutes to Governor’s Citations will also be presented to almost 50 state troopers and civilian employees in a ceremony that will be attended by troopers, their families, and some of the people they helped. Awards are presented for incidents involving troopers who were assaulted by armed suspects, aviation flight crews who rescued people from life-threatening circumstances, and employees who went above and beyond the call of duty while serving and protecting the people of Maryland.
