Governor Hogan to Provide COVID-19 Update at Noon
ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today announced that the State of Maryland has surpassed 6.5 million COVID-19 vaccinations, and its 7-day positivity rate has dropped to a record low 0.82%.
At noon, the governor will provide a COVID-19 update to Marylanders.
Vaccinations: 6,528,935; 72.2% of Adults With At Least One Dose. The state is reporting 36,498 additional vaccinations today, for a total of 6,528,935 vaccinations. To date, 72.2% of adults in Maryland have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine—better than 40 other states.

Positivity Rate: 0.82%, Seven Consecutive Days Under 1%. The state is reporting a record-low 7-day positivity rate of 0.82%—down 86% since mid-April. The positivity rate has been under 1% for seven straight days.
Case Rate: 1.55 Per 100K. The state is reporting 67 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today. The case rate declined to 1.55 per 100K—down 93% since mid-April.
Hospitalizations: 194. The state is reporting 194 COVID-19 hospitalizations—down 84% since mid-April.
