Maryland Tax Free Periods

Check it out - there are a couple. The first one is for the week of Aug. 8 - 14th for back to school shopping. NO sales tax on clothing & shoes items priced $100.00 or less. (each)

This plan SUCKS! Limited to clothing only is ridiculous. While we were in Myrtle Beach almost EVERYTHING was no sales tax last weekend. Best Buy was letting people come in and reserve a computer so they could pick it up during the tax holiday. 8% sales tax in MB so a sales tax holiday comes in handy, especially when you get selected electronics and shop at the "outlet" malls.

That's People's Republic of Maryland for ya!

Actually, when I lived in FL about 5 years ago, they had some school time tax holidays and I think they included clothing & school supplies. I've forgotten now. But not on everything, I don't think.
