The fin-shaped mass is about 300 feet tall and growing 4 feet to 5 feet a day, though it occasionally loses height from rockfalls off its tip
The picture in the article with the helicopter in front of it shows how absolutely massive this thing is. :faint: Scientists are saying the dome today is far greater in size than the old dome when it erupted in the 80's. It's going to be hellacious when that thing blows again. :yikes:

:yay: I'm a fan. I like to read about earthquakes, volcanoes, and the like. I'm impressed by how smooth that one face is (the one on the left in the photo with the helo).
