Maternity Clothes

If anyone is getting rid of their maternity clothes for Spring/Summer, sized Small/Medium, please let me know.
My 18 y/o daughter will be in need of them within the next couple of months. Actually, her jeans are already getting uncomfortable for her, so maybe sooner.
Thank you

I do not have any of my clothes left as it has been two years but tell her to check out Just Between Kids in Mechanicsville. It is a consignment store that sells mainly kids stuff but I am pretty sure they have a maternity section as well.
Also check out the sales in the Old Navy maternity section (I think there is one in the Old Navy in California). I remember getting some great deals. I loved their maternity stuff and did not feel like was way overpriced like some of the stores that only sell maternity clothes.

Really? I had no idea.. Thats cool

Yeah, they do.

Maternity clothes is available because they have a great room full of it. About over 5,000 clothes on rack of all sizes. They even let you try on the clothes to see if it fit.

They even have clothes for babies/toddlers too, but they limited on how many you can take. Also, you can get forumla, food, etc. They will only help if you truly do need help.

And how do the verify that?

To the person that was asking about Maternity clothes I went to Target yesterday and they had a ton of their Maternity clothes on clearance w/ an additional 30% off :yay:

They have a form that you fill out your annual household income. I'm not sure how they determine on who need the help the most.

As far as I know, the maternity clothes is available for anyone.

I forgot about Target...I LOVED their Liz Lange Maternity shirts. I was not overly fond of the 1-2 trimester pants though. I always felt like I needed to hike the waist up. Of course I felt like I needed to hike all maternity pants but I thought the Target ones were worse when it came to that. Once I got to the 2-3 triemster ones they were fine.

I have size large if you get desperate. My son was born in October so most are summer/spring with a few fall, but again they are size large.

pregnancy center

they have a ton of maternity clothes I believe. They don't verify anything. I think they just don't want people coming in everyday shopping.

The preg center is very helpful and have a mommy point program. the more your daughter does to benefit herself and the baby to be independant she gets points. She can tally up her points and use them like baby dollars and go "shopping". they have a room of new things she can choice from i think.

She could do things like go to school, work, volunteer, go to church. She would have to talk to one of the girls there but they are very helpful. I think they have classes about labor, breast feeding, caring for a newborn, etc. Going to the classes also gets points also.

Also like some other people said, old navy is really great. they have great deals sometimes, i know average size non preg. girls who shop in the maternity section because they get shirts for like 3 dollars. Target has good deals sometimes also, IDK i haven't looked there in 6 years.

Thanks

for all the posts.
I didn't rec'd. a PM about maternity clothes from anyone. I posted on SoMd.com and got 1 response but the person hasn't returned my phone
call :-/
She's far from wearing a large, but if she's anything like me, she'll need them by the end. I gained 60 lbs. with my 1st, 45 lbs. with her & 32 lbs. with my
3rd.
Anyway, thanks again. I'll have her check out the pregnancy center.

Sweat pants worked fine for me. I never bought maternity stuff.

Yeah that works if you don't have a professional job to go to. I was lucky enough to stay at home the last trimester of my 1st pregnancy (many moons ago). She was born in March, so I lived in my sweats during those winter months. Bad thing was...... I gained 60 lbs. I think it was a combination of staying home, eating out of bordem, and wearing non-restrictive waist bands
:)

Yeah, okay.
You should make your daughter be responsible and make her find her own clothes. If she can't afford it, tell her to get on the internet and look around, inquire. I know you'd like tohelp her, but if you keep doing everything for her, she won't become responsible.

Well, she works 8am - 7pm Mon-Fri. and works different hours on the weekends at a 2nd job. It is my PLEASURE to help her in any way that I can. I appreciate your opinion, but I'm not doing anything I don't want to.
By the way, where was it ever said, in any post, that she is irresponsible??

Yeah the pregnancy care center doesnt make you verify anything, and ive always been told youre not allowed to go look through stuff, they just go get random stuff and bring it. hmm?
I wanted to do the mommy thing but the second kid I didnt have a ride until I could drive RIGHT before I had him and this one Im too far away unfortunately. They let me look at the stuff and it was super nice new stuff.
If shes early enough they do ultrasounds as well. They wont tell you anything, but it shows if the babe has a heartbeat and you get to look at what a lot of people dont get to...

Theres a place called birthright in leonardtown as well. Its only open to the public without appointments on tuesdays, though now. Other days you need an appt. Anyway, theres a closet you can go in a go through anything maternity there. The baby stuff is in those plastic tubs and a couple times they picked up the stuff and went through it with me and asked if i liked x thing, and dug through and other times I was allowed to just dig through the thing and get what I wanted.

If you go by Ewe Need It, that road right there (thrift shop was on the corner) you turn right, and its on the left right after.

probably the pregnant part without mentioning a husband. Lots of peoples have issues with that, especially around here. It automatically makes your irresponsible and very low on the human scale. :sigh:
