Matthew 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. The commentaries agree on one thing. Only the Father knows when Jesus will return.
If we think about it, Jesus was on a mission and God was in control. Look at John 14:28.
John 14:28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
People will go on about their lives. They'll go on bickering in the forums while life goes on all around them. Some will worship, others will call it BS. Jesus says He can't tell us when He will return. His Father is the one who controls time. His Father is the one who controls everything.
God knows what is going to happen.
