So Jeremy Mayfield wants to start the Road to Recovery and hopes to return to NASCAR (Cup, Nationwide or trucks).

Will he ever race in NASCAR again? I think that if he does manage to complete the Road to Recovery, the fans will never accept him again, since he has been a drug user and thief the last few years (or so the charges he faces claim).
I almost feel bad for him, but he should have admitted his problem and not kept up with the lies for the last few years. Look at A.J. He admitted it, and was able to race the 51 at the end of last year.

Mayfield sucked as a driver before the drugs, why would anyone want him driving their car after the drugs?

If he completes the treatment and stays clean isn't that what the program is all about? Good luck finding a car owner that wants him to drive for them though.

As far as the fans, if he wins, who knows.
