Mayorkas Impeachment

So - they want to do it again.

At this point - what IS the point? Even if they get those m-fers who voted against - I am referring to the Republicans, since the Democrats can ALWAYS BE RELIED UPON to vote in lockstep (despite their fascist broadsides against the GOP) - what then? The Senate won't remove him - and you STILL need two thirds, and that is just NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN.

Worse - get rid of Mayorkas - and Biden sticks ANOTHER a-hole in there. What are they hoping for? They're not stupid - what's their angle?

Supposedly the ones who voted against used strategery because they wanted a second impeachment vote for some reason or another..... Honestly, I'm not following this story very closely because I'm tired of judicial and government circle jerks. All this stuff is straightforward, so easy a caveman can do it. But instead of men and women of integrity doing what's right for the country, there's all this horsetrading and threats and blackmail behind the scenes. It's bullshit and I'm always amazed that we stand for it.

Government is a simple thing. Politics is what pollutes it.

Only the one did that. He was in the leadership. By him voting no, a House rule kicked in that allowed the bill/motion to be brought back up.

The three others used the excuse that if the Reps do that now, the Dems will use it against them in the future. (Let that sink in for a minute.)

The point is to get Mayorkas before the Senate where the House can conduct the prosecution. To clearly express how he has not upheld his oath, is not faithfully performing the duties of his office by not enforcing the current law. And while the two-thirds is a significant hurdle there are many states that are now being severely impacted by the open border and uncontrolled illegal migration that might vote for conviction given those factors and Mayorkis's failures.

The alternative to not impeach is that the executive branch can operate with impunity without regard to the law. So, do they attempt to hold him accountable or do they just bury their heads further into the sand and ignore it?

What laws is he not upholding?

And are Republicans not upholding whatever you think those laws are by not funding the current border funding deal?

Where do you get this "open border and uncontrolled illegal immigration" nonsense? Newsmax?

Which is why republicans should fund the border bill right?

Seems like they are the problem not Biden
What part of JOE CAN STOP THE FLOW RIGHT NOW WITH NOTHING MORE THAN TO REVERSE THE DAMAGE HE DID IN JAN-FEB OF 2021, is too complex for you to comprehend?

You rode the short bus, din'cha? :dork:

I agree that what you stated is the way things should work. BUT it is not going to happen that way. Certainly Mayorkas has not done his job (nor for that matter has Garland) but he has done what Whoever is running the White House is telling him to do. He is merely the figure head, he isn't making the rules. We all know that no matter what evidence the House might bring before the Senate , the Senate will not vote to impeach Mayorkas. Certainly many States and Cities are impacted, we can hear them crying, but they will never vote against the party in adequate numbers to impeach. No freaking way.
The Executive Branch (whoever that is) is already acting with impunity without regard to the law. That is already the problem. No way is the law being enforced at the Border, and it's not likely to be enforced in the next year. 6.2 Million did not get in because the immigration laws were enforced in any way, and Mayorkas is just doing what he is told to do. Mayorkas is not going to be held accountable any more than SCOTUS is going to be held accountable for allowing Border Patrol to cut the fences., or for allowing men to be held in prison for 3 years without trial. It isn't burying their head in the sand , it's facing the reality.

The only weapon Congress has is the purse. Cut the money. to Homeland Security, it's money wasted. Do away with Mayorkas by defunding the Homeland Security Make his salary $10.00 a week see how long he stays.

How exactly is cutting all the money to Homeland security going to secure the border?

Bull... ****ing... crap.

They pulled the border patrol OFF the border and have them doing paperwork to process illegals instead.

You are a complete and utter ****tard.

And not a very good liar either. If you were you wouldn't get called on it so much.

The mounted Border Patrol whipping incident was the perfect example. Immediately after it happened, Mayorkas came out and calmly said they would investigate and take any action if needed. Then Biden and the Dems came out screaming racism for whipping black migrants like slaves. The next day Mayorkas changed his tune parroting the Dem talking points. The BP agents were reassigned.

The border bill is an immigration bill - it sets "limits" for daily illegal crossings at levels we would have regarded as ATROCIOUS just a few years ago - it makes allowances so that the current disaster can actually continue unabated -

It basically does - nothing.

It does however fund Ukraine.

The current disaster at the border -which as ALL OF US REMEMBER - was NOT A DISASTER according to DHS and the White House until about a month ago - REPEATEDLY told, border is under control, border is closed, border is secure, surges are cyclical, NO PROBLEM HERE ----

WAS CREATED BY THE WHITE HOUSE WITHOUT ANY NEED FOR LEGISLATION.

Bear in mind, things like "remain in Mexico" still exists - and even under Trump, Mexico didn't like it, so Trump twisted their arm. And it worked. Title 42 was working - and it's not just for COVID but every other damned disease out there - like MEASLES.

Conditions for processing - changed under Biden. And sanctuary cities haven't helped. Guess what? The bill GIVES THEM MORE MONEY to deal with the problem.

It is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. You might as well call it the Save the Puppies Bill, because it doesn't do a damned thing except preserve into LAW the dumbass stuff they're doing NOW.
