1) She didn't teach her daughter about safe sex and birth control.

2) The daughter didn't have safe sex or use birth control.

I don't think you can assume these things unless they're known as fact. For all you know the daugher could have had safe sex, plus used birth control. Nothing is fail proof when it comes to that.

My unwed 21 year old is pregnant and I'm proud of her that she's choosing to have her baby and not abort it like yesterday's garbage. I'm proud to become a grandmother, and I'm fully supportive of my daughter and her boyfriend.

This isn't the "old days", but I agree with the birth control or protection, but obviously, she's 17, she should be smart enough to know that. If she's not smart enough to know about birth control in this day and time, I question her knowledge on raising a baby.

It isn't crap. It's what I believe. I would fully support a woman who either was childfree or had already raised her family. A woman with a young family, needs a more attentive mother, either home with them or at least home each night.
