Lost in the 8th, 2-1..Crazy call negated a run for the Cavs in the 8th(extra innings) that would have given them a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the 8th. It was a 'circle violation'. I believe the ump called the runner on 2nd out because she left early on a base hit..If they had gone to the video tape, they would have seen they were wrong(they don't do that).
Who's to say that Queen Anne wouldn't have scored 3 in the bottom of the 8th, just a tough loss. Niece is Calvert's coach and 9 of her 15 players are underclassmen(<can I say that??), including their soph pitcher. They will be back.
