How do some cases make it in and others don't?

My divorce 19 years ago isn't in there. I've also had two speeding tickets and two seatbelt violations over the last 23 or so years, but none of them show up in the database. I never went to court for any of them - paid the fines for the traffic stuff and the ex and I were amicable, so no court there. Maybe that's the difference?

Not that I care so much, I'm just curious how it works. Anyone know?

My name change is in there. (changed it after the divorce -which was in another state) But that's within the past 3 years and all there is on me to report.

I do believe that it has to be a "court" action to be in that database. It is, after all, the "Maryland Judiciary Case Search".

When was the database started? They may only go back that far.

No, because I've seen cases in there from way further back than either of my seatbelt violations (one 13 years ago, the other maybe 10 years ago) , and I think further back than my last speeding ticket, which was in maybe '93 or something.

I think I should merit a listing in the case search, damn it!
