(March 31, 2020) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will pave two ridesharing lots in Calvert County starting tomorrow.
Crews will close each lot for one day to complete daytime operations:
--- Lusby ridesharing lot on Cove Point Road
--- Huntingtown ridesharing lot on Cox Road / Old Town Road (Thursday, April 2)
MDOT SHA will mill, repair patches in the lot, pave and apply new pavement markings. Drivers are encouraged to use other nearby state-maintained lots. This work is being performed by MDOT SHA's contractor F.O. Day, Inc. Portable message signs were placed last week notifying users of the lots of the upcoming work.
MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on the road and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. For a list of all major MDOT SHA projects, go to roads.maryland.gov. For a look at real-time commute conditions, go to md511.maryland.gov.
