Work to Include Test Openings of Bridge

(March 31, 2020) - The Maryland Department of Transportation? State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will be performing routine maintenance on the Spa Creek Drawbridge (MD 181) in Anne Arundel County tomorrow.

The work will be done from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and may consist of test openings of the drawbridge long enough for the average vessel's passage. Work should be complete the same day.

The work is being performed by Covington Machine and Welding, Inc of Annapolis, MD.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on the road and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. For a list of all major MDOT SHA projects, go to roads.maryland.gov.
