I'm not sure that I agree, Sam. Their viewpoints have become normalized; mainstream, even. One example I use is from prior to BLM, CRT, and all that.
I watched this Netflix series where the future was, as Ozzy Man says "Destination Phucked." People from the future came to our present, basically, trying to stop the destruction, the dystopian future that was their existence. I forget what the name of the series was, but it was really well done. Well acted, well voiced, clearly thoroughly rehearsed, had great continuity, and all the things you look for in a good show, movie, series.
Spoiler alert: at the very end of the series, they decided that the cause of the horrible future was (you probably guessed it): climate change.
I was so pissed, because up until then, I was fully invested in the series. Funny how now, I can't even remember the name of it. I described it the other day on FB, and somebody said, but a few days later, I got nothin'.
