Soooo, who else has black squirrels running around thier yard? Has anyone spotted an albino in recent years?
IF I remember the article correctly, the black squirrels are decended from squirrels imported from Pa many years ago due to no or declinging population of, native squirrels.
That makes sense. I remember seeing a black one in Harrisburg, PA for the first time when I was 15. They were everywhere and I was in awe. When I worked at the animal hospital someone trapped and brought in a white one. Not albino just white.
To be a true albino does it have to have pink eyes?

A sub species of the Fox Squirrel.
Another great thing about the shore! The Delmarva Fox Squirrel! Those things are cute.
