it's not "redneck" ... it's NASCAR.jazz lady said:Sorry, I didn't realize "redneck" was the new decor.![]()
BTW, DQ is sold on the idea already! She's throwing out ideas of her own now. She said we could make little flags (white, yellow, black, blue, red and green, as used in NASCAR) and disperse them throughout the tree. She also suggested picking up little diecast cars of the different drivers and hanging them from the tree limbs. Now that's imagination and creativity at work!
And by golly, don't forget to put Dale Sr. on the tippy top as your NASCAR angel... may he R.I.P.crabcake said:it's not "redneck" ... it's NASCAR.BTW, DQ is sold on the idea already! I do. I'm curious about it, as there's been some back and forth between what DEI "authorized" and what they said wasAirgasm said:Plan on watching the ESPN movie?

I'd have to dig out my Nascar Scene mag and reread the article to say for sure, but I basically recall it being that his widow didn't want Dale Sr. portrayed as someone who started from "humble beginnings" ... that he was a po-boy. Thing is, that's what he was so why not reflect the truth. That's more admirable, in my opinion, than someone born with a silver spoon in their mouth and simply had it gold plated.Airgasm said:Which?

That's part of the essence that has made this Country what it is.crabcake said:"humble beginnings" ...
That's a good idea. We haven't done a contest in a long time. I'm sending myself a PM reminder.crabcake said:Vrai, may I suggest a forum christmas tree decoration contest among the forumites? Peeps post their "entry's" and folks can vote on 'em.Winner gets some sort of SOMD merchandise?
