In addition to the increase in "suggested for you" fb pages, I have noticed many that are from another region. For example a local news station's page from Nebraska when I live in MD and have no connection to Nebraska.
My page has been overwhelmed with suggested pages to follow. I think the suggested pages may be pages that my friends like, but I’m not sure. And as noted, you try to block or get rid of them and more pop up - a never ending barrage of stuff.
