ST. MARY'S COUNTY METROPOLITAN COMMISSION (MetCom)

Section 113-11 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County provides the Metropolitan Commission with the authority to adopt rules, regulations and requirements pertaining to public sewer systems. The St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission (MetCom) is in the process of updating the Sewer Use Regulations (SUR).

The intent and purpose of the Sewer Use Regulation (SUR) is to regulate the use of public and private Sewers and drains, private sewage disposal, the installation and connection of building sewers, the discharge of waters and wastes into the public sewer systems, and to provide penalties for violations.

The draft text amendments for the updated regulations may be inspected at MetCom's Engineering Department located at 23121 Camden Way, California, Maryland 20619, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM Monday through Friday or viewed at http//www.metcom.org. Written comments may be submitted to MetCom's Engineering Department or emailed to engineering@metcom.org through the close of business on March 8, 2019.
