Metrocast Internet issues

We have been having a ton of issues with Metrocast internet recently. Our connection is horrific and will drop many times a day. We called in and they suggested we replace the splitter running between our Modem and TV which we did (mind you this has been working fine for several years)...this did not fix the issue...their help support is pretty bad. We are in the Great Mills Area. Very Frustrated. My husband has a bit of a technical backgroubd and has tried some trouble shooting....just wondering if anyone else is having this issue and knows of a fix for it :) THanks

We started having the same problems 3 - 4 months ago. They came out for the umpteenth time Friday . . . Said they fixed several issues all the way back to some originating box. Now it is even worse. We live in California. It is very very frustrating.

I had the same problem many years ago. They finally ran a new cable from the street to the house. Haven't had any issues since.

Metro cast was out about a month ago to replace the cables outside and seems to me that is when it got bad....ugh....its so frustrating! I am seriously considering just dropping them and using Verizon Mifi for our service...I just worry about my husband and daughter streaming to much and using up all our plan.

I had the same problem many years ago. They finally ran a new cable from the street to the house. Haven't had any issues since.

I am in the Leonardtown area. We had problems for a little over 2 years. I would call every couple of weeks. Once I started calling daily for a service call, they FINALLY ran a new line to the house. Everything has been fine since.

If you're addressing complaints, the cable gateway in my apt frequently drops the connection so I have to get up and hard reset it 2-3 times a night. Also, only 1 of the 4 ethernet jacks on it actually work. This thing was left in the apartment when I moved in, apt complex has a deal with Metrocast so I'm assuming its yours.
