Reboot your modem if you are already on the 4MB service and you should be upgraded automatically. Wish they would throw us a little more upload. :jameo:

Check it out.

They are still upgrading many areas. Its being done in phases through January. They have been doing work in Wildewood this past week, and it hasn't been upgraded yet. I am hoping they finish up soon here. While they are upgrading the area, the service goes in and out at times as they work on the network.

I guess they switched ours on for the New Year. I am now running 5.7 local, 3.7 to Seattle, and 1.6 to Israel.

Folks here in Greenbrier and Cedar Cove areas have had nothing but problems since Dec 27, 2006. The three Metrocast Nodes serving this area are severly overloaded and cannot handle the amount of customers assigned to them. During the afternoon and evening hours folks in these areas have been only getting around 200-600 kbps download speeds. That's only about 10 % of the advertised speed! They should be getting around 5500-5900 kbps.

I have spoke with Metrocast and they are trying to get the nodes split/balanced and are adding equipment but to date the problems still exists. About a thousand customers are affected by this. The nodes have double the normal amount of customers that they should have on them. It's going to take some time. Meanwhile, I suggest you call customer service and demand your bill be adjusted until they can provide the service they advertise.

I haven't had any problems. I live in GreenBrier, the only problem I had was the other day when the whole state was out.
