Don't download it unless you realy mean it because there ain't no going back. I made the mistake of doing just that thinking I would give it a try and if I didn't like it I oculd just go back to IE 7. You can't uninstall it and if you try to use the system restore function your system will try to revert to the last restore point, but when it boots back up and you try to open your IE browser, it will not complete the function.
I fooled around for over an hour trying to get back to where I was and finally ended up having to reload IE 8 Beta and continue using it. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the new browser and it has several functions I really appreciate, but it would be nice if MS told you there was no going back (at least not that I have found).
