PORTLAND, OR—Local socialist millennial man Matthew Hatter lamented Monday that there are no concrete examples of socialism he can point to in order to have some kind of idea how it would turn out.

"If only there were other countries that have tried socialism before," Hatter said to a friend at an ethical coffee shop, Commiebrews, Monday afternoon, after he finished his paper route. "Then, we could see if there are any pitfalls."

Laugh if you will, but they really think this. You see, because nobody has tried "their" socialism. By which they mean pure socialism, you know, that kind that requires basically an insect like hive mind. Unreachable unless you make humans ants and not humans.

And unless there is nobody in charge, not even in "transition". Socialism per se isn't the problem so much as the people in charge of Socialism. Now our Democrat overlords want to be in charge, and this is how they get their bots to submit - by promising them a bunch of stuff and counting on their ignorance.

This BabylonBee is spot on. :yay:

Didnt I just see an article that according to some joker in an ivory tower somewhere, US sanctions have cost 40,000 Venezuelan lives?

The only ones supporting socialism are either the ones who foolishly think they will "get" from socialism and the ones who will gain power from socialism.

The problem with socialism is it simply goes against the grain of the human spirit. No matter WHO is in charge - and that actually is its BIGGEST failing is corruption among those making the decisions - you cannot get people to indefinitely bust their hump and not reap the rewards. I know for those of you who have kids, if you tell them to do their chores and they'll get ice cream, if one of them does everything and the others do nothing, the NEXT time that ONE isn't going to work as hard if at all. Because there's zero incentive to work hard to get something if doing nothing yields the same outcome.

Now that's a simplified version, but it is exactly the problem. If working 100 hours yields the same result as working ONE, only a fool works the other 99.
