Saw the below on Facebook (posted 1 hour ago), figured it can't hurt to put it out here..
This post is a photographer’s worst nightmare. Please no judgmental responses. I already know I made a HUGE error in judgement. So here goes. Yesterday evening while at the Solomon’s bridge taking those gorgeous sunset photos with my other camera, I got distracted by helping this little old man get his boat out of the water. I laid down my one camera with the 600mm lens on it and yep you guessed it - I left it laying there when I left. I didn’t realize it until this morning when I was packing up my cameras to take with me today.
Of course I drove right there to no avail. The camera was gone. I’m PRAYING the harbor master picked it up and has it locked in his building. I’ve left him a message. I’ve been to the DNR office right there too seeing if by chance someone turned it in. I’ve contacted the Calvert County Sheriff’s office.
I’m reaching out here asking everyone in southern Maryland to please spread the word if they found my camera to please let me know. Obviously I am gut-wrenching heartbroken but I only have myself to blame.
Please spread this far & wide here in southern MD. A Canon 90D w/a Sigma 150-600mm lens attached. It’s worth a lot of money.
