Missing Horse near Morven Park, VA

Cross-posted from the Chronicle BB in case any of you all are planning a trip to VA in the near future....

Hello All!

I just received an email from one of my students who's horse bolted and is missing near Morven Park. I have quoted her word-for-word below, including a brief description of the horse and her contact information. I'm hoping the poor scared guy is found soon.

It has been a hellish nightmare of a weekend. We were at Morven Park in Va at our NCEL Finale meet. After schooling Sat. eve my Morgan broke out of his stall and ran off. Bolted actually. Through a dozen people and dispite my calling to him, which usually works. This is very unlike him, and I think being alone once he broke out terrified him and then he didn't know where to go. We have no news on him besides that the trackers thought he looked like he was headed home. If you know anyone in the Morven Park/Leesburg area, could you please contact them and ask them to be on the lookout? All of the MP property people know about this, and all facilities are looking for him. I'd appreciate any publicity you can give this story. Here are his specs.

Albert (sometimes Berto): 12-ish year old dark bay Morgan gelding, small star-stripe-snip, left hind sock with ermine spots. Not clipped, good winter coat. Long wavy mane, tail and forelock. Kind eye, very friendly with horses and people. Contact Becky Deafenbaugh 410-703-5323 with any information. Loudon County Animal Control and Sheriff's Dept contacted.

Here are some pictures of him:
