Did anybody else catch Mitch's speech on the floor of the Senate at 1pm? I'm not a big fan of Mitch, but he laid into Slow Joe and his speech from Atlanta yesterday.

It's not up on YouTube or Fox News yet. If somebody finds it, please post.

Probably on CSPAN
Thanks.

He's not fiery. Talks in that genteel patrician kind of way.

McConnell Blasts Biden’s ‘Profoundly Unpresidential’ Rant: He Propagandized ‘Against His Own Country’

“The President’s rant yesterday was, incoherent, incorrect, and beneath his office,” McConnell said. “The President repeatedly invoked the January 6th riot while himself using irresponsible, delegitimizing rhetoric that undermines our democracy. The sitting President of the United States compared American states to ‘totalitarian states.’ He said our country will be an ‘autocracy’ if he does not get his way. The world saw our sitting Commander-in-Chief propagandize against his own country to a degree that would have made Pravda blush.”

“Twelve months ago, the President said that ‘politics need not be a raging fire destroying everything in its path.’ That was just twelve months ago. Yesterday he poured a giant can of gasoline on that fire,” McConnell continued. “In less than a year, ‘restoring the soul of America’ has become this: agree with me, or you’re a bigot. From lowering the temperature to invoking totalitarian states and the Civil War.”

Mitch says this aint the same joe Biden who has been my friend for so long.

No: He isn't Mitch. The man's mind is gone.
You were friends with him years ago and he wasn't worth a damn then, but now he still isn't worth a damn and his mind is gone.

Biden has been dividing his country from day one Mitch. Who woke you up and you finally discovered it.

I guess I keep checking to see who’s hand is up his butt making his mouth move.

No, he isn’t in charge anymore. The light is on but someone else is home.

What's kind of hilarious is that this goob ran on uniting the country, and so far he's done nothing but attack and divide. :lmao:

Whenever Democrats say they want to unite Americans, translate that as "Do what we say or we'll destroy you."

Dear Mitch: a little less talk and a lot more action please.
I think the slow roll is the way to go here, not that I think it’s a planned maneuver just his personality. The D’s are getting frustrated and fighting amongst themselves. If the R’s start getting animated it will just give all of the D’s a mutual enemy that they can all agree is evil. As the old saying goes “never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake “.

I can't remember who I heard say that last phrase - Tucker, Gutfeld - but yeah. Also, they're tolerant - as long as they agree with you.
But this also characterizes the way they behave in politics, and it's the same thing - a firm, dogmatic insistence that their way is not only the right way, but the only acceptable one. So - they don't want free speech, because hey - why discuss with people who are all wrong?

Hence, they don't want free speech. They want to silence speech.

They've gone on record countless times regarding "bipartisanship" as "when we have the votes, regardless of if it's just us". I can recall a few times, claiming loads of bipartisanship once they had filibuster proof majorities. They claim tolerance but demonstrate at every turn, they don't know what it means.

Why do they so often demonize their opponents as being uninformed, ignorant of the issues, racist, hateful, greedy and so forth? Because they're so convinced their opinion is right, the only way someone would not agree is if they're either ignorant, deceived or have a moral failing.

It's posts like this that remind me how differently I see things than most of my fellow humans. It's like we're not even the same species.

My $0.02... I think Merlin99 has a point. As much as I'd like to see the Reps go all scorched Earth on the Dems, the Dems have the luxury of the bully pulpit because of their alliance with the MSM.

If I accept the idea that there was not enough voter fraud to swing the election, then look how they convinced enough independents that "mean tweets" were the greatest problem the country was facing and to not vote for Trump. "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

Right now the D's are looking for a fight, someone, anyone. Since it's not the R's fighting they they're going after each other. Look at the progressive side, any one of them is bigger pain in Nancy's ass then all of the R's put together. They're willing to sink their own legislation if they don't get their own liberal crap added to everything. Nancy's so frustrated by it that the only thing she can do is try and impeach Trump again, we're calling it a 1/6 commission, but that's what it is. Do you think that if Nancy had a free hand and all of the D's marched in lockstep, that she'd bother with that? She'd be passing every lib wet dream they could think of, that original $6T would have been a starting point she'd be asking Bernie and AOC if they could think of anything else to throw a billion dollars at. So let them fight and just stay out of the way.

You're right. We certainly don't want the Democrats to be mad at us, do we?

Correct. However, we do want the Democrats to be mad at each other, undistracted by us, battling amongst themselves to the point where even the MSM is forced to take sides.

Then hopefully Independents can see who the adults in the room are.

Jesse Watters even said it a few weeks back. "Joe Biden is an old-fashioned politician; all he knows how to do is to divide."

I see it as watching two dogs fight, you try to interrupt and they both bite you instead, let one kill the other first.
