The MASN baseball play-by-play guys said there will be NEW rules for the games next year.

Pitchers will have a strict time limit to hurl that 4 seam knuckler
THERE SHALL BE NO DEFENSIVE SHIFTS ON INFIELDERS
The bases will be bigger

Okay, whatever. Is management of MLB making new rules for the sake of making new rules? Do they FEEL THE POWAH?

Will the bases be painted with reflective paint for the sake of sight impaired players? Are they OSHA certified?
No shifting defensive fielders? Why?
A timer for the pitchers? Will the stop watches be manufactured by Philipe Patek? will both team managers have access to the official timers? Are they "green energy?"

Can players appeal to the umpires because someone on the other team, or the fans "triggered" them? Can they appeal an umpire's decision because they felt triggered, or "unsafe?"
