Hi Everyone,

My husband and I are interested in having a modular home built in Prince Georges County (Bowie). Does anyone know of a modular home builder that can help us? Has anyone had any experiences with the process and can tell me about pricing and the pros/cons?

Thank you,

Do a quick Google search because I researched these at one time and the sites I looked on had some really beautiful floorplans/layouts. :flowers:

This place is up by Hughsville. Don't really know anything about them.

They don't do PG county. I was in the same spot of either building on a lot in PG or building on to my house in Charles. Found out the headache with PG and decided to stay put. That company used to do PG county but they got tired of dealing with the county and permits and decided it wasn't worth it.

Had a friend who went with Middleton homes in Brandywine. Stick built, not modular but they took care of everything. www.Apexhomesinc.com is another modular builder in the area also. Love their plans. We considered this and found out a lot of the homes comes out of PA. There are tons of plants and companies up there and you can go on a weekend trip and tour their factories and homes. Just google modular homes PA and tons will pop up. MD is in most of their areas.

We've lived in a North American modular home for 14 years - we haven't had any major problems with it at all. The minor problems we have had were caused by the contractor putting the home together and not North American. It's really a well built house.

Hi everybody!!

This is too weird. We own land in Calvert County and we too are thinking about modular. Really just in the beginning steps. I know there is a house on Broomes Island that is a modular. I drove by there today and American Dreams is building a house right across the street from the other modular!! So I was going to come home and look it all up and gosh you guys have already done it for me. Thanks!!! I'm trying to learn if this will save me money? The one home on Broomes Island has been on the market for 2 years, brand new, very nice. They want $500,000.00 something for it.
