HEAVEN'S DOGGY-DOOR

My best friend’s dog closed his eyes last
night, As his head was in her hand.
The Doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through
her head, As she cradled him in her arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
And OH...his many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart that’s filled with tears
Remembering their joy filled days.

But an Angel appeared to her,
And said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE's installed a 'doggy-door"!

RIP Moe and hugs to Lisa and Dave

Oh, that is so pretty and it hits home so closely. I had to put down my doberman just last friday, November 23. I thought he had arthritis and he had wobblers syndrome, so it was such a shock and hard difficult time for me.

Thank you for posting that beautiful poem and I am sorry to hear about your friends dog.

Its always difficult to loose a pet, but like the poem said, you need to remember the great times shared with them and know that he's with God waiting for you to come home too :huggy:
