holy crap those kids are more than old enough to be able to play outside without a helicopter breathing down their neck..we used to go play everywhere and no one watched us from a lawn chair. Unbelievable.

Unless of course the little brats were wreaking some kind of havoc and THATS why the neighbor complained..but you never know anymore..people are neurotic and strange about children.

I think this would be excessive, but maybe if they were on scooters they didn't have helmets and pads or something. There are helmet laws right?

It wasn't because they were outside. It was because they were riding scooters in the freaking road.

It was also apparently a result of an ongoing feud with her neighbor. If the cops arrested her for this, I'm betting it isn't their first time being called out and dealing with the mom.

Most cops would rather write a ticket or call social services for something like this. I'd bet it was her attitude that got it elevated from a simple warning into a trip to jail.
