Monterey Restaurant White Sauce

Ok guys I need some help.
I unfortunately had to leave Southern Maryland a couple years ago.
Every time we come back to visit we head straight to Monterey Restaurant for some good old chips and white sauce.

Does anyone know how to make anything close?
Man I miss that sauce.

It's called Queso Blanco dip. White Cheese Dip.

I made something that tasted fairly similar to it once but forget what all went into it

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayo
lime juice

Thats the bulk of it but there was a couple other things for taste.

I've duplicated it with mayo, lime juice and chipotle peppers. But, I haven't gotten as close to Monterrey's as I'd like. There are recipes online for it. I love it!

I ask every time, the reply is white sauce. If you ask whats in it "the chef makes it"

I was told that it's a Miracle Whip base instead of Mayo.
