Bronze stars were awarded so often for Iraq and Afghanistan deployments it would make your head spin. It really devalued the medal just like the navy did with the navy achievement medal. Now would they have given it to him 18 years later if he was not a governor?

As a veteran, it sounds like he deserved it, but dropped paperwork kept it from going through. He should have known better saying he earned it without actually having it in hand, but I don't begrudge it from him. Question is does it come with the 'V' device?
