This a million times over. People get so damn wrapped around whether something is legal or not, never questioning the validity of the law. But they won't have a problem with someone downing a case of beer and killing someone on the road or beating their spouse. Not to mention drug companies giving people their poison while lobbying to keep it illegal.

Well, I haven't been called "Dude" since '74,
BUT

What were the parameters for convictions, ( including amounts of marijuana confiscated, plea agreements to reduced charges,) what about possession during probation or parole. etc.... were these considered in his efforts? Does he need those votes that bad???

I don't think anyone has a problem with a 19 yr. old with two joints, EVEN THOUGH WHEN IT WAS ILLEGAL, IT WAS ILLEGAL. The cases went through a trial and evidence supported it was ILLEGAL.

But lets say a youth, age 17, was selling 4 ounces, some PCP, being charged as a YOUFFUL offender.... In juvenile court its reduced to simple possession and *poof*... gone...

How about a guy/gal on an ankle monitor banned from possessing, his agent shows up and they have .9 ounces. And tests positive for pot.

Was that spelled out in MOores doctrine??? Who knows....

And now, we willy-nilly create jobs for them???? What about the guys cutting trees and lawns that dont have this State benefit? What jerks they are huh?

Wow, 3 years before I was born:D

I'm not talking about cases with more than just weed charges, those are separate charges, hence completely off target for my point. The "well it was illegal" argument is sophomoric at best. There are hundreds, if not thousands of archaic laws in place over our history that are complete and utter nonsense. We, as free thinking people are obligated to think for ourselves and fight to get these laws thrown out. I think we agree the govt overextends it's reach on a hourly basis lmao.

If I'm coming off as argumentative, i apologize. we agree on most everything I see you comment or post on here.......my comment was strictly for those who were arrested for mary jane. The American justice system has been a stain on our history as soon as people with money were allowed to lobby to make the rules. We see it more and more everyday.

I do agree with you that if Moore's involved it will be exploited and abused. Like most things, the government can't stay out of it's own way and the dems have never met an initiative they didn't want to make money on.
