That was the final vote on Kavanaugh. 50-48.

For those (Vrai) who don't understand what "Being Presidential" means...for those (Kyle, comrade GURPS, et.al.) who think "win at all costs" is the way to run a country...for those who think Donald Trump is "winning"...

Kavanaugh in on the court...on a pure partisan vote that opened even greater divisions in this country.

Once again Trump had a choice...nominate someone who would be a good middle of the road choice (be Presidential)...or nominate someone who would only satisfy the extreme wing of the Republican party (win at all costs). Once again, Trump made the wrong choice for the country. Once again, Trump has weakened an already great country.

50-48. That is pathetic. It is a wonderful testament to the inept and incompetent leadership of our unfit President.

If you were honest you'd admit that it didn't matter who DT selected, if it wasn't Garland the D's were never going to vote yes. Not being the honest type though you'll ignore it.

Bush said Kavanaugh would be "a brilliant, thoughtful and fair-minded judge."

Confirmed on a 57-36 vote, Kavanaugh had been warmly praised by Republicans but widely opposed by Democrats who had briefly threatened to filibuster his nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Garland and Kavanaugh are almost exactly the same in judicial records.

The vote FOR had Rs, a D, and Is. The vote against was only Ds. Tell me again about partisanship.

That the announced pan of the Democrats was to vote en bloc against Kavanaugh from the moment he was nominated (no, actually, even before given the DNC/DNC-related letters that went out with "we must oppose <fill in the blank>") tells us all we need to know about who the truly divisive, "win at all costs" folks are.

Anticipating your future "whataboutism," you bet, Republicans/the Right will pay back in kind down the road. You sow the wind, don't be surprised when a truck falls on you from out of the whirlwind.

When Kavanaugh was confirmed to the SCOTUS he left an opening on the District Court.
Guess what President gets to fill that opening.

Funny thing is, Kavanaugh, in the future, will decide an issue that will be against my right wing opinion but I won't scream and riot, I will accept it. John Roberts effed up an opinion(IMO) on Obamacare but I still support him. You lefties are really ####ed up with your thinking that it's your way or the highway.
