Yeah. CheckpointUSA on YouTube is good. We've circle-jerked over these types stops here before as well. They are just as problematic in my view as far as the 4th Amendment goes, but because there is a government judge that says government over-reach is legal, no one questions it.

Arguing against that is a losing battle.

The fourth amendment is about unreasonableness. The court determined the checkpoints, when conducted properly were reasonable and legal. That is the law of the land. Don't like it find another land.

If the purpose of the checkpoint is to determine if he is impaired, and the cop didn't accomplish that, can't he be held until a determination of sobriety is made?

The kid stopped at the check point. The cop asked him to roll down his window. The kid refused. At that point, the kid should have been sent on his way. It really isn't that difficult to understand.

Wow what? I love you people who want to rely on the law of the land, but when the highest court makes the determination of what is legal and illegal you want to complain. We are a nation of laws and it is set up so that the SCOTUS is the final word on our constitution. So you still bitch and moan and cry about everything YOU don't like. So if it bothers you that much, find a place which is more suitable to your taste.

Very well. I suspect we will hear ZERO complaining from you "nation of laws" statist drones then about things like ObamaKare and the like. The Supreme Court says it's OK so if you disagree STFU and leave the country.

Anarchy happens because of monarchy. King Obama. Leaving the country might be prohibited at some point, also. I never was good at the limbo and bending backwards. At this point, if people don't see America is sinking to the bottom, then they just don't get it.
