At President Bush's morning staff meeting it was the Secretary of Defense's turn to brief and he said, "Mr. President, I'm sorry to inform you three Brazilian soldiers were killed yesterday in Irag."

Those around the table were somewhat startled to see the President's reaction as he was normally a bit more stoic about such news.
