State Police Motor Vehicle Collision and Extended Road Closure, Frederick County, MD

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack is currently on scene, conducting and investigation of an apparent head on motor vehicle collision at US-15 and Mountville Road, Frederick County, MD. At this time all that is known is that a sedan and large truck towing a trailer are involved. One patient has been flown to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, one was flown to Children’s National Hospital in D. C. and one was transported by ground to Frederick Memorial Hospital. Both northbound and southbound lanes are currently closed and the investigation is ongoing. It is suggested that commuters avoid the area and take an alternate route until a detour can be established.
