I preordered mine when they came out earlier this year (Feb/Mar?).
So far I *love* it. It's a good size - not to big, not to small. It's fast (dual core processor), and you can load it up with gobs of storage; I've got a 32GB card in mine. The screen and colors are fine, but my daughters Samsung Captivate looks brighter and better, although I only notice when they're side by side. Camera's OK - better than the one on my iPhone 3S and the front-facing camera supports skype and google talk.
I switched from an iPhone, and Android isn't as clean and pretty as iOS, but it works just fine as far as I'm concerned. There's a million great apps for Android and I couldn't live without my Atrix!
I had problems with the previous release of the OS where the SD card would get messed up, but since the upgrade, it's been great.
I put it in an Otterbox Defender case within days of getting it, same as I did for my iPhone and I recommend that to anyone. It'll keep it looking new as long as you own it.
