Is it still "taboo" to talk about?

taboo in this society, yes. Among most of my friends and girlfriends, No. Mention porn to my mom, and she's running for the bar of soap. It took me YEARS to get her over the word "fart" though.

I guess I don't undestand the big deal. I heard women shouldn't watch porn because it makes them less of a woman.

I've heard that, and to a certain extent based on some types of porn that is out there, I can understand it. Some of it is very demeaning to women...even though what is viewed by some to be demeaning, is exactly what turns other women on. To each, his/her own. But here again, is where you have people (men and women) that feel that they need to fight for the entire human race if they feel what they see is demeaning.

hmm interesting. Well either way, they can fight with me about it, tell me it's wrong, and I will put one in for them to watch. Oh wouldn't that be great!!

I do know for a fact, that porn can accompany and amplify abuse in a relationship, though porn in and of itself isn't necessarily abuse. But the same thing can be said for alcohol and drug abuse. It can exist in a home by itself, but they can also be evident of, and possibly amplify other abusive attributes. One doesn't necessarily cause another though.

Where's the "girl thing only" option? :really:

:yeahthat: :high5:

I'm of the opinion "whatever floats your boat" is fine as long as it doesn't harm someone or something else in the process.
