Oh my.........my son had an MRI again this morning. It's so scary when they go under anesthesia. It scares me every time. Everything went smoothly! Thank god!

Has anyone ever had a bad experience?

we did fairly well with the anesthesia when my son had a cat scan at 6 months but we were warned that sometimes that have a really hard time with it. My husband's nephew has apparently had it rough a couple of time coming out of it after surgeries.

You know I never understood why they couldn't do it while the baby sleeps. I mean when they are young, young, that's all they do is sleep. But instead they load em up with the juice........

My son is 2.5 months old and had surgery last week - because they had to cut his belly open he was under anesthesia and had a spinal as well. He did okay with it - but it took him a good 2.5 - 3 days to fully 'wake up' after the procedure. When he did he was so out of it he was forgetting to breathe and had to stay intubated longer than he should have been. I know there are people/babies that have an even rougher time of it - but that's my experience with it lately.

I'm glad your son handled it well!

Is your son okay? I hope he feels better soon. Yea my son was till all groggy this morning, it worried me. I hope your son has a good recovery!

My youngest comes out of anesthesia slowly, but he hasn't had any issues thank God. He's gone under three times and he's only 3 1/2. Poor thing. Ear tubes first, MRI second and last was surgery on his neck to explore/drain swelling.
