MS Office 2007 license transferability

if you will
I just bought MS Office Enterprise 2007 and MS Office Visio Professional 2007 through the "home use program", and before I installed it I wondered...

If I decide to replace my computer (my current one is fairly old), and I able to contact Microsoft and get them to allow me to install the software on my new PC if I retire my old computer so I'm still only using it on one PC?

Just curious if anybody has tried that before?

According to this, they'll never know, because it doesn't get activated like a retail copy does.

Hmm, interesting. But I think my copy is like a regular copy that gets activated. I actually bought it from the Microsoft website and got shipped physical copies with a product key on the package. The only difference is the package says "Home Use Program" and only cost $19.95 for Office and $19.95 for Visio.

In that case you can still move it. Worst thing that can happen is you get a nag screen that forces you to call MS. You call, explain what's going on, they give you a code to unlock it. Very easy, I've been through it before.

Although I've yet to have to do it, I have been advised that w/contact and explanation, you should have no problem obtaining authorization for transfer.
