Got it but have only used it once on my ENV 9900. It was pretty easy to set up and use. I'm also amazed at the sound quality the phone has. :yay:

Just a note but I think the MP3 phone package at Best Buy is now cheaper than the Verizon dealy. It comes with software for editing, and several cables to mate to a BUNCH of different phones. Worth a look. :yay:

Basically VCast uses Windows Media Player to synchronize music to your phone/device. Download BitPM and then you can hack your phone and upload your own ringtones.

If you have the chocolate, you can use the Verizon software - or - you can removed the memory card (micro-SD) and place in a micro-SD to USB reader. It shows up under My Computer and from there, you can drag and drop MP3's into the "music" folder...

Can you load music from a cd to your computer then send it to your phone?

It all depends on the phone.

I've got a Sony W810i that I love. It's got an MP3 player built into it, so that's one less thing that I have to carry around. Factory says it supports a 2GB card, but I've heard you can put 4GB in it. Should be enough for most normal folks. I just plug my phone in via the USB cable and drag & drop songs; couldn't be easier!

As far as loading it from a CD, that's a separate step. I spent a good bit of last year ripping all of my CDs (~around 300 of 'em); I'd do 5 or 10 each night while hanging out on the computer. The software I use is Exact Audio Copy

Introduction » Exact Audio Copy

It's a bit 'heavy' on the nerd factor, but gives you a lot of control. There's a million other apps for ripping If EAC doesn't strike your fancy you can look at:

Tucows Download

or

Freeware Nonags

for lots of others, I'm sure.

You don't need a password? I tried to do that once but I couldn't figure how to enter my password(last 4 numbers of cell phone). Maybe I'm thinking of a motorola phone.

Gee, I was just hoping I could plug something in and load my fave songs from the pc.

All that :nerd: talk is :hot: but way beyond me. I am not technologically inclined:ohwell:

Not with mine (no password needed on the LG Chocolate 8550) - it might be a Motorola thing
