Music we grew up with - Motown

Some of the music I remember growing up during my early teens. Many songs I heard for the first time out of WLS in Chicago, often on a small transistor radio long after I should have been sleeping.

Listening to WLS in the Southern Blue Ridge mountains of Southwestern Virginia. First Dick Biondi and after he quit, Art Roberts, who signed off every program with "This program has been a work of art."

I remember these in my late teens, and the mid and late 60's. Would be cruising the streets of Hillcrest Heights, Glassmanor and Oxon Hill, with the radio blaring my best friend with me looking for chicks. Driving around in a 54 Chevy, than came the 59 Ford Fairlane and then the Studbaker Lark. lol

Love me some Motown! One of my faves right here...bad ass song by the Temptations

This music was great. Takes me back too and with my little transistor radio until I got to jr. high and got a CLOCK RADIO for Christmas. Good music and memories.
