Report: Lego To Stop Production Of ‘Star Wars’ Set Due To Anti-Muslim Backlash « CBS Connecticut

Lego will reportedly cease production of a popular “Star Wars” toy set after Muslim communities complained about the product, despite the company saying that’s not the case. The Independent reports that several Muslim groups in Austria claimed “Jabba’s Palace” was anti-Muslim as it showed popular “Star Wars” character Jabba the Hut in a mosque-like lair with a hookah, guns and an imprisoned Chewbacca.

My son loves Legos and Star Wars. I'm glad he got this set for Christmas.

And I'm sure that the muslims are big Leggo customers. What other ways can we figure out to offend the muslims? I'm in an offensive mood today. I want to offend muslims today, I want to offend Democrats today, I want to offend liberals everyday.

I have a black car cover.
Might be interpreted as an abaya and my using it to cover a car could be construed as equating Muslim women to the same level and value as a common automobile.

offensive? I think so.

Unless it's a Chrysler or Renault product, wouldn't a car be of higher value than a mere female in the Muslim world, and, thus, no offense taken from your action?

Yes, :sarcasm:

You might have a point, I have yet to hear about anyone stoning their car to death for being parked next to a newer sportier model,, but then on the other hand, don't they blow cars up when,, Wait, maybe the cars they used in the bombings cheated on them in some way??
maybe these bombings really are not terrorist actions, maybe they are just disciplinary actions against the unfaithful car and those that die around it are just unlucky to have been there in the first place...
