Another pedestrian accident? Seems to be way too common lately. Hope everyone involved will be ok.

I know some of of the ppl involved. Bicyclist wearing all black w/ no reflectors or lights at night, crossing the intersection against the light. I understand the cyclist will be ok, which is good. I wish reckless pedestrians/cyclists would realize that just b/c the driver isn't (badly) hurt doesn't mean they don't experience a trauma when they hit someone else, especially when it isn't the driver's fault.

I have no idea what that section of road is like down there, but I do know that up this way its almost like the cyclists are begging to be hit. They will ride on a road that is winding with lots of hills, they sit right in the center of the lane and refuse to pull over to the side like they are supposed to. You come around one of the blind turns and there they are.

Around here (by here, I mean Lexington Park south to Point Lookout), the bicyclists will ride right on the white line that separates the shoulder from the travel portion of the roadway.

And do THEY get a ticket? Nooooo.....

When I see that, it makes me want to go by 'em "leaning" on the horn; but that would be wrong. :sarcasm:

They occasionally ride on the back roads in Calvert. It is a frickin' death wish as fast as people fly on these roads.

I see them constantly on the back roads around here and you're right....they must have a death wish on some of these roads. They're always riding on Wilson Rd, Emmanuel Church Rd, Stinnett Rd. No road shoulders, narrow windy roads with hills. Not too bright imo.

I'm glad to hear that all involved in this particular accident should be ok.

Yup... That's where I live. My neighbor bikes everyday on those roads.
