Pegg Road & West Westbury Blvd for the MVA with Injuries and possible entrapment.
2 county police units on the scene advising the road is blocked.
Sheriff's office advises there is a medic on the scene requesting a Helo.
1506: Helo being dispatched.
1508: LZ to be setup between West Westbury and New West bury.
1509: Trooper 7 with an 8 minute ETA
1509: Thus far it looks like 1 Priority Patient. Checking on status of the other driver now.
1510: Traffic now stopped coming through the West bury Subdivision.
1512: At this time it looks like 1 Fly out, 1 Transport to St. Mary's and one signed refusal.
1518: Fire Board has not heard from Trooper 7 yet. Fire units on scene advising they are still getting traffic through the area and are requesting Fire Board confirm with police that the area needs to be shut down.
1520: Trooper 7 just marked up on FMARS. Fire Board confirms LZ is set up at Westbury and Pegg Rd.
1522: Patient being flown out due to Age and Loss of Consciousness. 2 YO Female. Needed Rescue Breathing to get her breathing again. Head Trauma.
1524: Patient already loaded in an Ambulance on the scene awaiting arrival of Helo. One other patient is a Priority 3 being transported to SMH.
1529: Units on scene confirming one signed refusal.
1541: I stepped away for a bit. But On scene units seem to be going back into service now. Unsure if the road is open yet or not.
1542: Syscom advises Trooper 7 went to PG Shock Trauma.
1543: Patient was involved in a TBone Accident. Per Trooper 7 on 47.66. Trooper 7 advising 12 minute ETA to Shock Trauma. Will be met at the Helo PAD on the Top of the Bldg. Patient appears to be conscious at this time.
1547: Command is terminated. All Units returning to Dispatch. Several units remaining on scene for clean up of debris.
1549: Trooper 7 confirming patient being transported to PG Trauma.
Just a note here. For those of you that may not be aware. There are a couple of frequencies that are handy to have in your scanners that you may not be aware of.
154.28 Is FMARS. This is the freq that Trooper 7 quite often uses when coordinating with Fire Board. Quite often you will hear on the Trunked system references to them putting up a "patch". This is when Fire Board patches this frequency into the trunked system so on scene units can coordinate with the Helos. It is not up all the time and the frequency can be pretty handy to have programmed.
47.66 Is the frequency the MSP Helos use to relay patient status information to whatever hospital to they are en route to. You can also hear ground side from the hospital itself. For example I just heard trooper 7 advising PG Trauma the were en route, give patient information and ask for any assistance/advice they might need. I also heard PG Shock Trauma giving them assistance and telling them where to land.
