No good for MX, huh? I'm, knew, so all the help I can get! Thanks!
not necessarily... just rider preference... it would probably get really hot though in the summertime... i used to just wear a jersey only... as we only had roost gaurds. those roost guards are made to deflect rocks coming at you at warp speed, not necessarily keep you from breaking a rib.

collarbones will be the first to go so if i were to wear a protector i would go with something that protected them some.

Well, oddly enough, what I am looking for these days is rib protection which lead me to the bionic 2 thing. Reviews say it breathes well in the summer. It is my impression and from questions I've asked, that roosts don't do crap for your ribs.

As for the collar bone, I wear a neck brace and the way it was explained to me was the point was to transfer energy from your neck and snap the collar bone instead, that being better than a broken neck.

:yay: on the neck brace. My brother wears one of those too when he plans to play Top Gun off the doubles...

might want to look at a kidney belt too...

you could wear some UnderArmour underneath it to keep the stink factor down... with no jersey over the top...

Doubles should be eliminated. I can't prove it but, I think they cause more injuries and the most serious, by far, than any other MX track feature.

if you can find them anymore... last one i visited was about 14-15 years ago in Indiana...

You're talking about tracks where the only time you leave the ground is when you ####ed up as opposed to the modern idea of only being on the ground long enough to pre load the suspension?

exactly

 yeah I think the common terms is called "old school" nowadays...

call it what you will...

I think my dad's preferences have rubbed off on me though. That's the style track he grew up to... euro style... GP... whatever...

I think those style tracks would make a comeback in a lot of places...

I'm fine with jumps. As long as I can clear it on my feet, from standing still, that's big enough.

Good Lord, going up the face of some of these things I feel like I need a parachute and heaven forbid I blow a shift at the wrong time. That's why I want a bigger bike; less shifting.
